These are excerpts from a list of recommended books for 7th through 12th Grades made by President Obama's "Safe School Czar" Kevin Jennings organization that he was the founder and Executive Director of: the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN). Mr Jennings was chosen by President Obama to be the nation’s Safe Schools Czar primarily because he had founded and led GLSEN.

Just to put things in perspective, My Son, who is 14, informed me Mark Twain's "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" was considered a "banned" book because of the use of the word "N" word.
I am retired Navy and it takes a lot to shock me. I could only take a few minutes of reading this before I was convinced something evil was being fostered on our children.
This information stunned me to my core.
Complain to your Senator and your Congressman, regardless of his or her party affiliation. As anyone who will tell you, I am a person who would be considered a libertarian when it comes to adult personal lives. However, I draw the line at this being considered appropriate literature for any student in any grade. To have a man in the administration who was an advocate of this in our schools is beyond the pale.
Kevin Jennings employment and support by our government must end now.
