BREAKING: Government to suspend 'cash for clunkers'
LOCK, STOCK and BARREL
The one thing Republicans must do is hammer home the point that when Obama and the Democrats stuffed the "Porkulus" bill and massive 2009 budget down America's throat, they bought TOTAL responsibility for the economic conditions of the country the moment the President signed the bills.
LOCK, STOCK and BARREL.
Do not let him "Hooverize" Bush. FDR was successfully blaming Herbert Hoover until WWII. Shame on us if we let it happen again.

It's on for August!
Example "A":
The Republican Party Of Florida needs to:
a) Research and distribute to all Republican County and District Chairmen the public schedule and town meetings that both our Senators (Nelson and Martinez) have planned and so opponents of Obamacare can be there to protest the ongoing efforts by the Obama administration to destroy American Health care...
b) Do the same for of Florida's Congressmen and Congresswomen
Also, If you are a member of AARP: Fire off a letter to them and tell them to renounce their endorsement of Obamacare or you will cease using their services...
As Ben Franklin said, "We must all hang together or most assuredly we will all hang separately.”
Economic Reality Hitting like a Glass of Cold Water in the Face
-Weak Treasury Auctions Raise Worries About US Debt Burden
-Durable goods orders drop 2.5 percent in June
- This from Newsweek!
-And this (!!) from the New York Times!!!
Eventually, even the in the tank MSM will have to start reporting on the failure of Obamanomics, if they want to retain what little credibility they have left....

I Already Miss Billy Mays.....part two
I feel kinda bad posting this...but someone has to do it....
Update: Will it remove the "stink" of Chris Dodd and his Cronies?... Feel free to put in comments where you think this product is needed!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is a "Leading Economic Indicator"
Not a good sign... Another "Porkulus" success story...
Yep, I believe this, and I also believe the Moon is made up of Chevrotin des Aravis Cheese (with just a hint of garlic)

OK, now it's time to come out of the corner fighting mad over this Republican Senators... Damn the "Elite" club sense of entitlement... These men LIED to the public and have used their office for personal gain. Censure is the minimum that should happen to them, but we should be insisting on EXPULSION.... This business of Countrywide giving favors to influential Senators is why normal America has no faith in Congress...
For the love of Pete, we need some testicular fortitude in the upper chamber.... But don't expect Mel or Bill to rock the boat and do the right thing....and I suspect if Charlie Crist is elected, he won't do any thing about this either...
If you are listening Mark Rubio... this is Political manna from heaven....run with it.....

This means Snowe, Collins and yes, Martinez are Prime targets for the democrats to pick up votes
Snowe and Collins went rogue on the stimulus and Mel Martinez (RINO-FL) obviously doesn't give a damn cause he's a lame duck (Way to vote for Identity Politics with Sotomayor, Mel) so don't underestimate their willingness to go rouge on Healthcare...
Fla. governor's office mistakenly praises anti-Semitic DVD sent by white supremacy group
Doesn't surprise me...Staff personnel crank out cookie cutter responses all the time... They don't read what is sent, and only hit print or reply with canned responses. Unfortunately, it takes MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF PHONE CALLS, EMAILS AND LETTERS for the ordinary voter to get your average politician's attention at the State or Federal level . Local Politicians listen and respond more personally because they live with their constituents.
Lesson: Our only strength is numbers.... and we've got to ORGANIZE our voices in order to be heard. It's a potent, but hard to manage, weapon. Support your Local GOP, Tea Party or grassroots organization and get involved...
Give's new meaning to the phrase "Don't Tase me, Bro'!"
Let's see:
a) Idiot sniffing gas for a cheap, deadly high...check...
b) Causing a ruckus that requires police interaction.... check...
c) Running at the police with a can full of gas and a lighter...check...
d) Police using Non-lethal taser to keep nut job with gas and lighter at bay...check...
e) Nut job going up in flames cause he reeks of gas fumes, has a can of gas, a lighter and is running towards police...Check, check, check and..... Check!
f) Irate girlfriend hurling rocks on Police...Bonus Check!
g) Guy going to hospital with 3rd degree burns, getting charged and girlfriend hauled to jail...Justice, Australian Style...
Life Isn't fair....
sigh...., c'est la vie....
Some good news to wake up to...
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 29% of the nation's voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -11. That’s the first time his ratings have reached double digits in negative territory....
Nice day...think I'll sit outside, sip lemonade, toss the Dog some "Begg'in Strips" and make my son mow the yard...It's a generational payback sort of thing, ya know...

Does this Situation sound familiar? It should, we are living it...
All I can say is WE KNOW what is being done now in the name of the economy is, for lack of a better word, loony...
We need to start the fight NOW and carry it on till 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016... We got lazy and lost sight of our princples and ideals...
Let's recapture our roots....
A Call for GOP Grassroots Action!
Below you will find a short Statement named "A Line in the Sand"
The Okaloosa GOP Grassroots Revolution Committee (OGGRC) of Florida encourages counties and other Grassroots organizations on this Email to send this statement to their:
a) U.S. Congressman if he/she is a Republican
b) U.S. Senator(s) if he/she is a Republican
c) All the U.S. GOP Congressmen in their state
d) RNC Chairman Michael Steele (Chairman@gop.com)
e) Likeminded Friends and fellow Republicans
For County chairman/grassroots organizations that have a U.S. GOP Congressman representing their county or a U.S. GOP Senator, a hard copy priority mail of this statement, with a personal note from you to these individuals, would drive home the importance of this effort.
Encourage them to use this as an opportunity to unite the GOP when Congress reconvenes on 8 September 2009. Before the gavel comes down resuming work in Congress after the August recess, we want to see the entire GOP Congressional Delegation, along with Michael Steele of the RNC, on the Capitol steps telling the grassroots GOP "We hear you and have got the message!" We, the grassroots, in turn, need to respond to our GOP Delegation that if they have our "backs" now, we will have theirs in 2010 and 2012. It is not too late to start work on getting our country back on track and the GOP Grassroots have a crucial, unique role in making this happen now and by election time 2010.
To Download a polished PDF of the Statement, cut n' paste this Link to get to the download: http://www.box.net/shared/im3tf33vjz
For a polished Short version of Core Principles of the OGGRC in PDF format, cut n' paste this Link to get to the download: http://www.box.net/shared/0dkicll43u
You will also find a copy of this Statement at the Okaloosa County Republican Executive Committee Website: http://www.okaloosagop.com/ and at http://www.bloggybayou.com/2009/07/call-for-gop-grassroots-action.html
OGGRC has taken the first step and compiled Email lists of as many county and state GOP personnel it could find for Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas. If only one or two of the addressees in each of these states turn around and compile an Email List to an adjacent state or two, we can spread this across the country and to every county and parish. A suggested Flow Chart for mailing can be found and downloaded from here: http://www.box.net/shared/l5x359eyq8
Please send feedback, especially if you are one of those who forward this to another state, to: OkaloosaFLGOPGrassroots@cox.net
Think of it as Grassroots Preparations for 2010!

A Line in the Sand
This is a clarion call to all Republicans, indeed, to all Americans, to stand up and say, "We can do better than this". We can do better than to wildly spend the wealth and treasure of this and future generations on the pet projects of the embedded political and media elites that populate our Nation's Capitol. We can do better than to deny our children and their children the future and the promise of what America is and what it can be. We can do better than to quit having faith in the ideals and constructs that have made this country the envy of the planet. Two major areas of concern cry out for immediate, serious action: spending and energy policies.
First, the supposed "Stimulus" bill of 2009 was a hastily drawn-up amalgam of greed, corruption and fool hardiness. We Americans are at our best when we approach problems rationally and practically. This "Stimulus" was neither. Generations not yet born will look back on it with incredulity and wonder how the greatest, most successful, most free country in the world proffered up, in matter of mere days, one of the greatest self-inflicted economic disasters in history and all in the name of some undefined "change". By this administration's own meager measure of success, this trillion dollar orgy of blind spending is a complete and utter failure. It is time to honestly acknowledge this mistake and to salvage as much as our children's future as possible by rescinding this act. The longer it is allowed to fester, the harder it will be to recover our nation's future. Sadly, Congress is putting the same amount of “thought” in its current rush to pass healthcare and energy legislation. We must stop this ongoing mad rush to massive, chaotic debt and must never repeat this folly again.
What has to be done in its place is what has consistently proven to work in all economic downturns.... trust the American People with their own money. That means keeping the current tax cuts in place and enacting another 10% tax cut across the board. In addition, The United States should have the lowest capital gains tax rate in the industrialized world, period. Every time this has been tried, revenue increased. Remember, our greatness lies not on the desk of anonymous bureaucrats, but on the shoulders of the great American entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists and workers. We must re-ignite our faith in ourselves. Free markets coupled with free ideas mean a free America. This is the core of what makes us the greatest nation on Earth.
Second, we must also acknowledge that we failed to act wisely in the time after 9/11. While our armed forces responded brilliantly and remain today the world's Shield of Freedom, we failed ourselves by not seizing the opportunity to do what we have been putting off since the 1970's… achieving true energy independence for our country. As long as we are beholden to other countries for the energy to power our future, then our fate and fortune will always be at risk. We must correct this...starting now.
The solution is to fall back once more on those two towering strengths of American political discourse, rationality and practicality. We must have a free, honest debate based on science over the issue of “Man-made Global Warming”. The issue is not “Climate Change”. The Earth’s climate has gone through multiple swings of climate change over the eons (seen any “Wooly Mammoths” lately?) and it will continue to change despite any actions on our part to quite literally “control the weather”.
We know there is increasing scientific evidence that disputes and contradicts the very premise of “Man-made Global Warming” as envisioned by the Administration and Al Gore. This blind embrace of what is increasingly looking like flawed science is the cornerstone of that massive, crippling tax on every American and business euphemistically named “Cap and Trade”. We must start insisting on public hearings in Congress where climate scientists (not political activists) on both sides of the debate are allowed to present and defend their position based on facts and science. No “Energy Czar” (or any other “Czar” for that matter) should be making unaccountable decisions that use our hard-earned taxes. That is the job of Congress. We want scientific facts, not social engineering disguised as science. If the opposition is confident in their science, they should eagerly pick-up the gauntlet of open debate in Congress, which is what our founding fathers envisioned as the best forum to debate and decide the great issues of the day. Odds are, the “Al Gores” of the world will not take up this challenge and that fact alone should worry every American who has the best interests of their country at heart.
The opposition would have us believe that we must reduce our energy consumption by making it more expensive, harder to obtain and invest in technology that cannot support in the foreseeable future the intense energy demands of a 21st century economy.
We defy this effort.
America’s goal should be the country that has the cheapest and most abundant energy supply on earth. We are an energy rich nation, both in natural resources and scientific knowledge. Nuclear power is American power. Forged in the crucible of war, this uniquely American source of power is the key to our future energy independence. We are rich in hydrocarbon fuel in the form of oil, shale and coal. Why are we afraid to embrace it? It is because the same people who espoused “Man-made Global Cooling” in the Seventies are the same people who are scare-mongering to drum up support for “Man-made Global Warming” today. These people are not concerned with the practical running and operation of an economy for the greater good. Their intent is to impose on the United States a set of naïve and dangerous ideals that were formulated by the extreme left in the Sixties that have no real basis in rationality or progress. If you want to see what happens when these people are in charge, look no further than to California. What was once one of the world’s most cutting edge economies has turned itself into a welfare system for state employees. Business is fleeing in droves from the constrictive straightjacket confines of California taxes and knee jerk ecological decrees. This includes even Hollywood, the pop-culture bastion of the loony left. We can do better than this.
Let us be clear in our stated energy goals:
· Insist on a call for open and fair hearings as to the scientific validity of "Man-made Global Warming"
· Insist on No Cap and Trade law
· Insist on a comprehensive and concerted effort to implement nuclear power across our land
· Insist on drill here, drill now and ..this is important…use here! Quit exporting our wealth overseas to corrupt and dangerous despots.
· Insist any "alternative" energy program be able to prove that they can be economically viable in five years when measured against proven hydrocarbon and nuclear technology. "Prove it or lose it" when it comes to federal funds for these projects.
· Insist on more and cheaper energy for America’s future.
A United States of America that can make itself energy independent, energy abundant and debt free will astound the world with the technological miracles that will follow in its wake. We have always been a scientifically innovative people. It’s time to again unleash the fabled “Yankee Ingenuity” and build a greater future for ourselves and the world.
It is time for the Republican Party to draw a line in the sand. And not any ordinary line. It must be a line harder than diamonds and more brilliant than sunlight. It must be a line made up of our founding fathers’ vision of a limited government that values individual freedom above all else; a line made up of men and women who will spend our taxes prudently and wisely; a line made up of hard science and engineering; a line made up of a great people who set big goals and then surpass them. We can and will do better than this because we know we are the most remarkable, daring people on the face of this planet and we need not apologize for that fact. We are Americans.

A Stunning Statement by THE President of the UNITED STATES
Lincoln was only a great president in hindsight. During the Civil War he persevered against those who thought the price in blood was to high. Lincoln was willing to be hated and had the inner sense of strength to be willing to order men into battle to die for WHAT WAS RIGHT. FDR, for all his faults in domestic policy, was willing to do the same.
Obama also got it wrong on Hirohito...He wasn't on the USS Missouri when the Japanese surrendered. Once again, "The One" proves that his intellect, while glib, is shallow.
Without a doubt, the most hypocritical statement yet
Organized Crime (aka DEMOCRATIC PARTY) Bust In New Jersey: Organ Trafficking involved
Yet, year after year, the New Jersey keeps electing these buffoons...
In Economic Recovery, Not So Fast on the New Jobs
Remember when the Dems used to hammer Bush on this (average unemployment rate during Bush eight years: 5.27, and this with the double whammy of the Clinton dot.com bubble burst and 9/11)
Well, turn about is fair play. When 2010 comes around and unemployment is hovering around 10%, no way, no how do we let the Democrats claim "we have turned things around". With the Trillion dollar waster of money called the "Stimulus" package, they bought this mess lot, stock and barrel.
We need to hammer this theme every day from now until election day...
Even the Associated Press can't Cover up the negative impact of Obama's Spending Spree
This was the headline on MSNBC's (!!) Web page... When history looks back on this era, one of the stories will be the complete and total loss of confidence by the American people in the institution of the Press.
Too little, too late.... They were envisioned by our Founding Fathers as the watchdog for the people... Instead, they have turning into the left's lapdog....
Finally, Republicans are going after ACORN
Giving federal funds to ACORN is like giving money to the Gambino Crime family. It is nothing but organized thuggery posing as a political action group.
We need to make this a campaign issue in 2010 and 2012....
As a Floridian, we need to make every Democratic Congressman and Senator pay for being affiliated with ACORN on account of its closely interwoven ties with the Machine Politicians of the Democratic party.
Sleep with Dogs, you get fleas...

Pakistan president Asif Zardari bans jokes ridiculing him
When leaders resort to this it means one of two things:
1) He is strong enough to stifle dissent (Hitler jokes were banned in Germany)
or
2) Pakistan's ruling elite is on shaky ground. (My Money is on this one)
If Pakistan descends further into chaos, that means trouble for the U.S. and an opportunity for the Islamic radicals based in Waziristan to continue to make inroads into the heart of Pakistan.
Which reminds me of yesterday's post: How's that Islamic Outreach going Obama?
Don't you dare tell the Obama Administration what to do!
Hope and Change indeed.....

How's that outreach to Islamic Nations going, Obama?
1) Al-Qaeda Leader in Afghanistan Mustafa Abu Al-Yazid Talks About Using Pakistani Nuclear Weapons Against U.S., Offers Americans 'Peace Plan': Convert to Islam, or Else Be Ruled by Islam and Pay Poll Tax to the Muslims
2) 20 dead in clashes in troubled northwest Pakistan
3) July the deadliest month for U.S. troops in Afghanistan since the war began in October 2001.
Bottom Line: it's going to uglier before it gets better... Do you really think Obama has the stomach to take a lot of casualties... How long before the "Vietnam/Quagmire" wing of the party forces his hand and he gives up. Then you have a lawless Afghanistan, Pakistan in turmoil and all fertile ground for nuts like in item #1 here to get his hands on some really dangerous hardware. Throw in India for good measure and you have got a really toxic brew.
Notice, not one word about Iran.... That's not even in the headlines anymore. We still have that fiasco to deal with (but "The One" will get them to unclench their fist...yeah, riiight....).
(Just as a refresher, here is my take on what to do in Iran...off the wall but I bet it would work!)

Obama: Recovery Will Take Years Not Months
I'm in a Nostalgic Mood of a life gone by the wayside
The U.S.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides) as a combat vessel carried 48,600
gallons of fresh water for her crew of 475 officers and men. This was sufficient
to last six months of sustained operations at sea. She carried no evaporators
(fresh water distillers). However, let it be noted that according to her log,
"On July 27, 1798, the U.S.S. Constitution sailed from Boston with a full
complement of 475 officers and men, 48,600 gallons of fresh water, 7,400 cannon
shot, 11,600 pounds of black powder and 79,400 gallons of rum." Her mission: "To
destroy and harass English shipping." Making Jamaica on 6 October, she took on
826 pounds of flour and 68,300 gallons of rum. Then she headed for the Azores,
arriving there 12 November. She provisioned with 550 pounds of beef and 64,300
gallons of Portuguese wine. On 18 November, she set sail for England. In the
ensuing days she defeated five British men-of-war and captured and scuttled 12
English Merchantmen, salvaging only the rum aboard each. By 26 January, her
powder and shot were exhausted. Nevertheless, and though unarmed, she made a
night raid up the Firth of Clyde in Scotland. Her landing party captured a
whiskey distillery and transferred 40,000 gallons of single malt Scotch aboard
by dawn. Then she headed home. The U.S.S. Constitution arrived in Boston on 20
February 1799, with no cannon shot, no food, no powder, NO rum, NO wine, NO
whiskey and 48,600 gallons of stagnant water.

Another TARP Success Story...
Cutting taxes has ALWAYS INCREASED revenue to the Government. It has happened EVERY time it has been enacted.
Some people NEVER learn, nor do they want to... Government control and raising taxes is a fetish to these people...
Chaos on Capitol Hill: All politics is loco
The more Chaos, the less chance of enacting horrific cap and trade and health care run by bureaucrats.
"Done Its Job"
When the Economy heads south, Obama is looking to throw the Spotlight elsewhere
If Obama wants it stopped, all he has to do is tell Holder not to go there. Obama is the President. Holder works for him. Obama is feeling the heat of his failed economic plans and wants the spotlight elsewhere...Therefore the "Torture" meme is thrown back on the table.
It backfired last time and will backfire again. Republicans need to fight back on this hard... Demand "Open" hearings ,full disclosure and paperwork as to who in Congress knew of "waterboarding" and when. If they try to hide it behind a wall of secrecy, raise holy hell....
And above all, keep banging on "Obama's Economic Failure".

Taking Charge: A Proposed Plan for a Republican Grassroots Revolution
Getting mad accomplishes nothing. On the other hand, getting organized and making noise is the cornerstone of any successful revolution. And make no mistake my friends, if we want to restore the United States back to what made it great, we must think and act as revolutionaries. So, my fellow revolutionaries, what should we do?
1) Establish a goal: Our Goal is to recapture the Presidency, the House, the Senate not later than the 2012 elections.
2) Put down on paper a concise, sensible, finite core set of issues that should be adopted by every Republican running for office. Here are my ideas for major issues:
Issue # 1: True Energy Independence by 2025 which has as its core foundation that a family's total energy costs take approximately 30%-50% less of a family's budget than it does as of July 4, 2009 (adjusted for inflation) and that we do it without any cutbacks in lifestyle or usage. We want more energy production, not less consumption.
Issue # 2: Taxes. The United States should have the lowest capital gains tax in the world, PERIOD; Abolish the Death tax; Cut taxes across the board 10%.
Issue # 3: Insist any HealthCare reform must first start with tort reform and that tort reform must encompass all aspects of society. Get rid of ambulance chasers.
Issue # 4: Get rid of make work Government Programs. Start with PBS/NPR and move on to AmeriCorps and defund Acorn.
Issue # 5: Re-focus our education system on the hard sciences. That means hard science majors get more financial aid and better loan terms than liberal arts majors.
Issue # 6: The United States should always speak out in defense of democracy and that means the United States must always have a military second to none in the world.
Issue # 7: We must have a space program second to none and that space program must include incentives for privative and commercial space efforts. Lose our edge in Space and we lose the "High Ground" both in terms of security and technology.
Issue # 8: Appoint Judges in the mold of Rodgers and Alito. (I have no problems with these two gentlemen as Judges. In fact, I cannot name a single Republican that does. I am opposed to Sonia Sotomayor because she uses race as a tool in her decisions. The law should be race and gender blind.)
Issue # 9: And here is my favorite "outside the box" issue: Anyone in the Civil Service who wants to get advanced past the equivalent of the GS-11 pay grade in the State Department Or the CIA must either have:
A) A minimum 8 years active duty in the Armed Forces. This will break the Ivy League stranglehold on our foreign policy and intelligence services and make it more reflective of how real America wants to be represented in the world.
or
B) Start as a covert agent in the CIA/DEA and have at least 5 years of covert activity under his/her belt.
I'm sure there are other issues near and dear to Republican hearts, but we have got to start the revolution somewhere. Nine issues may be too many (the "Contract with America" had ten) but if I had to choose which issue to emphasize the most, it would be energy independence. A United States that is truly energy independent and at the same time energy rich will be a United States with a much more healthy economy and make the remainder of the issues much more realistic. Issues 2 and 3 are a close second. Tort reform will be a tough nut to explain and crack, so let's just concentrate on 1 and 2. (That's Key: Energy is a complex issue and taxes everyone gets, so let's not muddy the waters with the other stuff...That can come later)
So, I have whittled my own list to two key issues. Energy, Low taxes. I can safely say that these two issues are key issues all Republicans can agree on. What's next? Get the grassroots onboard NATIONWIDE and have them insist to their Federally elected Republicans publically acknowledge them and adopt our platform as the cornerstone for 2010 and 2012.
So how do we do it? Well, first , let's decide how we want our Congressman, Senators and senior RNC leaders to acknowledge the concerns of your average Republican. Remember, they are public servants and the 2010 election is not far away, so we need to work fast and, most importantly, make a big splash. Congress reconvenes from its spring break on 8 September 2009. We want a unified, solid wall show of support from Congress that at the same time puts the Obama Administration on notice that the battle is on. I propose the following:
All (I repeat ALL) Republican Senators, Congressmen and Senior RNC officials (If the Republican Governors all show up, that's even better) get together on the Capitol steps and hold a press conference on 8 September 2009.
1. They announce the obvious: Porkulus is a failure and we need to recall the monies that haven't been spent yet. Let's try the proven way of JFK and Reagan: Tax Cuts, but this time we will control spending (provide a list to the press of all the Pork in the Porkulus bill).
2. They announce the Republican Drive for Energy Independence that I described above. And here comes the Key part:
a. Republicans insist we have a full court press on advancing Nuclear Power and that Yucca Mountain be opened for business ASAP.So how do we make it happen?
b. Drill Here, Drill Now. ANWAR and Coastal Oil Fields be opened up for drilling immediately. Emphasize the amount of money we send overseas for foreign Oil.
c. Republicans insist any "alternative" energy program be able to prove that they can be economically viable in five years when measured against Proven Hydrocarbon and Nuclear technology. "Prove it or loose it" when it comes to federal funds.
d. Emphasize how many high paying jobs will be created for Americans with a push for more Oil and Nukes. Riggers, Welders, Scientists, construction workers, Engineers, operators, re-gridding the US, etc.
e. Insist any Biofuels cannot have a negative impact on the price of food.
f. Finally, CALL THE LEFT'S BLUFF ON GLOBAL WARMING AND CLIMATE CHANGE. Have on hand respected Scientists who refute this luddite ideology. Here is where they can find them: The International Climate Science Coalition (ICSC). Here's the link. Don't be afraid of this tactic folks, we have hard science on our side. Man-made Global Warming is a hoax. We need to fight it because it is a tool of the left to redistribute wealth. Republicans should insist on hearings with both sides presenting their case and if Al Gore shows up, insist an opposing view appears with him to challenge him. In fact, insist that Al Gore have a public debate with the designated Scientist from the ICSC within the next forty days or demand he return his Nobel prize because of fraud. That will make headlines. Name names of Democrats who have a financial interest in supposed "Green" Technology. Show how much money Gore has made. And when the Democrats balk at hearings and debate, make as much noise in the press as possible. If the MSM refuses to cover the debate, then Republicans call their bluff and boycott their news shows in a very public manner. Go to talk radio and the Internet and accuse the MSM of being Obama's tools. the Truth and Ridicule are powerful tools, so let's use them.
1. We spread the this word to all of Florida's Republican County Chairmen who then let the state apparatus know and they, in turn, inform other state parties of the effort. make it go viral. Tell your local radio talk show hosts about it, try to get national radio talk show leaders to join in. Remember, the alternative media is OUR media.
2. We (Grassroots Republicans) contact all Florida Republican Congressman and Mel Martinez and insist on a show of support for this effort. This is a perfect opportunity for Senator Martinez to make a difference in his last year as a Senator. Since he is choosing to not run in 2010, this can be his final gift to the GOP and the Country and retire on a truly high note. Jeff Miller is representative for one of the most important Republican districts in Florida in one of the "Must Win" states in Presidential Politics. I would love to see him take this and run with it. He has been a reliable conservative voice in Congress and this should help raise his profile nationally. We need to let him know that we will have his back on this effort. Go for it, Jeff!
3. Bottom Line: We, the ordinary Republicans start by calling and getting our representatives' and Senator's attention. We also make it clear to the State Republican officials that they need to support this effort and use their national contacts to spread the word. Also, everyone needs to call the RNC and tell them to make this happen. The Grassroots want to see results and want them NOW!
Finally, for any revolution to succeed, you have to first believe. If you don't believe, then you can't make it happen. I believe we Republicans in the Florida Panhandle can make this happen. I believe all grassroots Republican's will support this effort. I believe all our Senators and Congressmen will listen to the base and do this for us. They will know that we will have their backs when election time comes and we will know that they are listening to us and that they, the men and women in the Political arena, have our backs in this battle for America's soul. This event would galvanize Republicans and unite us, something we desperately need right now. Keeping the next two elections focused like lasers on these two issues will, in my humble opinion, be a winning hand for any Republican that runs on it.
Give me feedback folks and if you want to take part in a revolution, start calling, linking and sending Emails to the powers that be.
I believe, Do you?
FDR's Fireside Chat: April 14, 1938: "New Deal Fails and The Answer is More New Deal"

This particular fireside chat occurred during the Easter Week of 1938. You can download it and listen to it here. I urge you to take 30 minutes of your day and listen to it. The parallels to today are stunning.
Some background: It's spring, 1938. The New Deal lay in shambles. The country was in what can only be called the Great Depression II. The graph embedded in this post shows unemployment had risen to near 1933 levels and was rising. The massive government spending during the first four years had run its course, and no real permanent economic foundation had been established. At the 12:56 mark, FDR gives his reason why this slide into recession happened: It was a failure of consumer demand due to lack of buying power (aka: massive unemployment had reduced consumer demand) Sound familiar?
FDR proposed his "Three Rounds of Ammunition" to fight the new depression. Here they are:
1)Round One: At the 13:34 mark: Government unemployment benefits and more government funds invested in government make work programs (can you say AmeriCorps/Acorn?)
2)Round two: At the 14:33 mark: Make credit available to banks, easy money for easy loans ( More TARP?)
3)Round three: At the 15:22 mark: Pork barrel spending: Government slum clearance, Public works infrastructure, federal aid to highways, flood control; Build federal buildings (can you say Porkulus?)
As you continue to listen to the speech, here are other points where the similarities between then and now are eerily alike:
At the 21:34 mark: FDR notes the banks have plenty of "idle money" (sound familiar?)
At the 21:50 mark FDR states it is the government's job to get that money into the economy and get government work moving again (TARP anyone?).
At the 22:17 mark: FDR begins making the claim that the government led efforts will eventually pay for itself by getting the private sector back on its feet (GM/Chrysler takeover folks? When TARP recipients re-pay the money back, we will make money)
At the 22:44 mark: FDR blames Hoover for the country still being in the dumps. Remember, this is 1938! FDR was entering his sixth year and the economy had tanked again during his second term. The remarkable thing is, people bought this line of reasoning. (Sound familiar? Never ever expect Democrats to take responsibility for his actions if things go sour on their watch... hell they are still blaming Hoover every now and then.)
At the 23:08 mark: FDR mocks the people who fear the deficit spending and Public works would be a drag on the economy and not work to establish true economic recovery. Now remember, FDR is speaking at a time the country had dipped back into what we today would call a depression and it occurred after the government spending of 1933, the original New Deal... and FDR brazens it out, touting all the alleged good he has done! Sounds like Hans Solo from Star Wars: "It's not my fault!" He then ups the ante with more of the same policies. (Aren't we hearing the calls for a "second round of stimulus?")
At the 24:51 mark: FDR claims it takes the federal government to trigger economic activity.. (sound familiar?)
At the 26:26 mark: FDR argues for redistribution of wealth (FDR always argued to keep profits for private enterprises to a minimum and would hide behind the phrase "fair profit for business" throughout his years as president. Sound Familiar? Windfall Profits tax, Raise capital Gains tax?)
At the 27:09 mark: FDR more or less says "I tried to reduce the debt but we got to spend more because the previous spending didn't work.... Don't worry, we will get it back in payment of loans and increased tax revenues." (Obama is parroting, for all practical purposes the same thing)
At the 29:55 mark: FDR states only government can get the economy moving, but once it does, then we can start reducing the deficit. (sound familiar? Obama triples the debt, but says he is concerned with the deficit and will make it a priority once government spending takes hold)
The rest of FDR's speech is that all must get behind his plan (or else) and he is merely a humble public servant.
What Happened? There was a slight dip in unemployment, but a great deal of that can be attributed to the massive arms build-up in preparation for WWII. Remember, we didn't just gear up the arms industry starting on December 7th 1941. FDR did see the threat of Hitler and Japan and had the foresight to initiate our military build-up, plus push through assistance to Great Britain once the WWII started. (Give credit where credit is due, but also give credit to one of the great unsung heroes of American Politics: FDR's future Presidential Opponent, Republican Wendell Wilkie who also backed the arms build-up and was crucial in convincing Congress to help the British, thus making FDR's effort "bipartisan"). In addition, don't underestimate the draft started in 1940 and its major impact on the jobs numbers.
What were the final results of FDR's "New Deal" and "New New Deal?" FDR's own Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Morgenthau, Jr summed it up best in his testimony to congress in 1939:
"We are spending more money than we have ever spent before and it does not work. I want to see this country prosperous. I want to see people get jobs. We have never made good on our promises. I say after eight years of this administration we have just as much unemployment as when we started and an enormous debt to boot."
It took WWII to drag us out of the Depression. Here is a link to my own analysis as to how that happened. Bottom Line, we took 16 million people in their prime and put them in uniform; We spent billions in defense; invoked rationing and savings and as soon as WWII was over we still had another recession in 1947-48 as we reabsorbed and re-focused on a consumer-based economy. As we had little economic competition for the next 30 years, it was easy to leave the FDR progressive tax system in place. It wasn't until the late 1960's and 70's that the world caught up and the result was the great stagflation of Jimmy Carter. It took Ronald Reagan and his MASSIVE tax cut to reverse 50 years of FDR policies to make us competitive in a global economy once again.

Bubba Strikes Back
Prediction: Within 2 months after the 2010 election, Hillary! resigns as Secretary of State in order to mount an insurgent run against Obama.
On Sarah Palin

Michelle Malkin Rips into "The One's" staged Press Events
Answer: When we start complaining and stop watching/subscribing to their news production. Even then, it's time we started to drive a stake through the heart of the old MSM... Their day is done...

Boy, Obama ain't afraid of Small Third World Countries Trying to Prevent a Tinhorn Dictator from Taking Over
This is the kind of foreign policy dreamed up by sophmores in college between bong hits....
The Trillion Dollar Stimulus Has Failed...Period
Now comes the hard part. Clawing our way back. We need to start playing hardball politics. That means grassroot's taking action, getting in the face and mailboxes of ALL Democrats and letting the Main Stream Media know that enough already...start doing the job that our founding fathers envisioned: Holding our elected leader's accountable. Either do it or stand aside and let the new media take center stage in our fight for freedom.
We need to scream "Failure!!!!" everytime a democrat speaks.
When Bill Nelson comes back to visit the "Good Ol' Folks" in Florida who pay his salary, he needs to get an earful everywhere he goes. If comes around here, count me in to attend a rally and ask him hard, no nonsense questions as to why he supported Obama, how can he justify running again for Senate and since this stimulus is a failure, why shouldn't he resign like the President of GM?
Folks... We either get mad and fight back, or we get screwed. I've decided to fight back, how about you? Get involved. MAKE NOISE!

Report: Pakistan Nukes At Risk
The article also quotes John Murtha as having access to sensitive intelligence. This is one of the Dirtiest Congressmen there is (remember ABSCAM?), so if someone of his character can still infiltrate and have access to our most guarded intelligence, just think of how easy it is for the Taliban to infiltrate the hopelessly corrupt Pakistani Government....
Meandering around Bill Nelson's Web Site and Found this Gem From February

Of course, I’m concerned by the deficits the president’s budget
entails. But part of the reason for this is the budget doesn’t employ any
of the accounting tricks of the recent past, such as keeping the true cost of
the war off the books. It’s an honest budget and easy for taxpayers to see
what they get for their money - www.budget.gov.
I’m more immediately concerned about the depths of our economic crisis.
And I think difficult times such as these require a budget that breaks with
damaging policies of the past and seeks to get America back on course.
This budget sets priorities in the right place: energy, affordable health care
and improved education, as well as ending the war in Iraq and turning our
economy around.
Remember this quote when he runs again and tries to distance himself from Obama. He drank the Koolaid. Never, ever let him hide from this fact....
The Costs of the Cap-and-Trade Bill
I think Bill Nelson and Mel Martinez need to hear about this....
