Iran is on Fire and Now It Has Finally Gotten the Obama's Administration's Attention

Iran is in the middle of an economic and political meltdown. Their economy under the Mullahs and Ahmadinejad has resulted in a society tittering on the edge of collapse. The regime has resorted to outright execution of political dissidents and violence is on the upswing. Both the Mullahs and Ahmadinejad know that they are in trouble and looks increasingly like they are going to use one of the oldest tricks in the book to weather the storm. Create an international incident to divert the people's energies and revive nationalistic fever amongst large segments of the population. The Urban elites and students of Tehran won't fall for it, but the vast masses outside the capitol probably (?) will. The 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution is from Feb.1-11 and expect Ahmadinejad to use it as an excuse to crack down on dissidents in order not to disrupt "celebrations".

The Obama administration is finally taking the situation in Iran seriously. Obama probably had a "Come to Jesus" meeting with his Intelligence and Military leads....He was probably told if Iran successfully pulls off a major international stunt (sets off a Nuke, shoots a missile at Israel, closes the Straits of Hormuz or unleashes its forces in Lebanon and Gaza or any combination of the above) the price of Oil will skyrocket and the U.S., already on shaky economic ground, will plunge into recession or even worse. News outlets are reporting everywhere tonight that the U.S. is increasing its Patriot missile presence in the Gulf. The source of the information are (intentional) leaks from the U.S. Government and are no doubt meant to be a warning to Iran as well as handholding on our part for Arab Allies (?).

Bottom Line: Something seems to be in the air with regards to Iran and things may be getting tense during February. Tomorrow will be the tell of the tape...If Oil prices begin to spike up, then it means something is spooking the markets and that spooking is coming from an increasingly unstable Iran.

If New York Comes Begging For Federal Money to Bail Them out...Say No and Point Them to This Story

When I read this story, the only thing I can think of is this is what you get when the Union runs things...

If this creep votes, I bet he voted for Obama....

Now THIS is A Political Ad!

Only in New Orleans....

Global Warming: We are Throwing Our Tax Dollars Down a Rathole Again

Fact: Man-Made Global warming is a farce.  Europe and the rest of the World's press are picking up on this fact.  The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) has proven to be a political based organization and not a scientific based one.  It, along with Al Gore should return their Nobel Prize.

American Thinker has all the ugly details.

Republicans should be all over this.  This is a HAMMER that we can use to bludgeon the left and the Democrats.

When Politicians Lose Touch With Their Constituents

Here is a link to a series of Emails I had with my Congressman, Jeff Miller (R-FL), District 1. Well, let's be honest...It was probably a series of Emails I had with Mr. Miller's staff. Considering the amount of mail and Email that comes in, it is a necessary fact that practically all Congressmen use their staff to compose and write the vast bulk of their correspondence when dealing with small fry like myself.

The issue was the recent granting of complete diplomatic immunity to INTERPOL. With the mounting action of grassroots activism on the importance of 10th Amendment rights and limiting the encroachment of the Federal Government into local affairs, I felt that this diminishment of U.S. sovereignty was also an area of concern and I wrote an Email to Congressman Miller to express my displeasure. (For background, here is a link to National Review's Andrew McCarthy's take on the issue)

To my complete surprise, I get a response back from our Congressman and in effect, he says no big deal. And in addition he states:
"With all the flawed policies and misguided priorities of this administration, it is pointless to create or spread misinformation and half-truths about President Obama's policies and decisions. Doing so undermines the credibility of conservatives and distracts from the real challenges we face as we work to stop government run health care, cap and trade and reckless spending."
I disagreed with the Congressman's assessment and responded with another Email. I especially took exception with the above paragraph and stated:
"This paragraph was insulting as it was unnecessary. It's oblique insinuation that by raising questions about Presidents signing of executive order is somehow the province of right-wing loons or such ilk and that by asking you, my representative, if this is an area of concern is both a waste of your time and silly. You or your staff have insulted someone who has supported you in the past. Bad move."
Mr. Miller responded with another Email and when I read it, it dawned on me that my Congressman just didn't get it or that he (or his staff) really didn't put an real effort into his response. It is disheartening to realize that the man who is your voice in Congress isn't the sharpest kid on the block or he has surrounded himself with some really mediocre people.

TARP: Another one on the Horizon?

Here is the analysis of Neil Barofsky, the special inspector general for the trouble asset relief program. bottom line, TARP was supposed to buy up all that bad mortgages. What it went to instead was the pockets of the big financials to keep them afloat. ALL THE BAD MORTGAGES are still out there and we are still waiting for the commercial real estate crisis to occur. Banks are failing every week (they announce the failures at 5:00 PM on Fridays so no one will notice) and many banks are still showing bad mortgages at full price on the books, afraid to close them out because it will show that the bank is in reality, underwater.

Sooner or later, the bill is going to come true. Another bailout will only exacerbate the issue. In free market system, sometimes you fail. the sooner the pain comes, the quicker we can start a real recovery. Pain... It is part of the healing process and trying to dodge it just will make you sicker in the long run.

FDR and Obama....Two peas in a Pod?

http://www.bloggybayou.com/2009/07/fdrs-fireside-chat-april-14-1938-new.html

The above post is fairly lengthy (and an early effort of mine) but it IS multimedia! There is a Link there where you can download FDR's fireside chat of April 1938 in mp3 format. (If you have children or Grandchildren I urge you to get them to listen to it…It is part of America's history)

In FDR's chat, It will stun you as to how much the situation then is like now and how much of Obama's State Of the Union Address is just like FDR's fireside Chat.

FDR fought the good war for us in WWII. However, his New Deal was an abject failure. However, FDR had the press in his pocket and he WAS a brilliant politician. Make no mistake, in politics, FDR took no prisoners. There was nothing bipartisan about him when it came to domestic politics.

I urge you to read this post and to pass it to fellow citizens and, like I suggested, get your children or grandchildren to listen and then talk to them about those times and now. I had a wonderful talk with my son after he listened to this and now he avidly follows the news.

Summary of Obama's SOTU Speech

He is doubling down on Health care, Energy and bashing the so called "Rich".  Drilling for Oil and Nuclear Power will be held ransom to passage of Cap and Trade.  Wants HIS healthcare solutions... and no others. Still blaming Bush...Enough already.

On GOP Side, finally, someone who pointed us to a site, while still not perfect, gives Republicans some solid plans we can point to:

Here is the Link to GOP Solutions.com.  I expect our Representatives and Senators to be able to articulately explain and sell the ideas posted here.  If improvements can be made or if the grassroots come up with better ideas, I expect our elected officials to listen and take them onboard.

It is time for Republicans to fight back: Introduce Bills on Drilling and Nuke power.  Press to open ANWAR.  Above all, The GOP has to take the offense and not let up on Obama and the Democrats ONE BIT.  Remember, Democrats never, ever give up and consider us ignorant rubes.

Well, It's time for us Rubes to fight back....

I'll be reading the "Solutions" section on the GOP site.  I encourage all, Republican and Tea Party persons alike,  to download them, read them and if you have a better idea, let me and the Republicans in DC know.  I won't hesitate to tell our elected leaders (especially Republicans- Since they will hopefully listen) to take more aggressive action and to call the Democrats bluff.

Bottom Line: When Obama and the Democrats passed "Porkulus", they bought this economy LOCK STOCK and BARREL..Never ever let them off the hook for the tanking economy and rising unemployment.

Above all, do not give in to the GOP mushy middle....

Note to FL State Senator Thrasher: Subliminal Political Ads are a BAD IDEA

I recently received an email from a friend. Embedded in the Email was a letter of endorsement for Sharon Day signed by Okaloosa County GOP Chairman (Barbara Wall) and 5 other Panhandle County Chairmen. It also included a flyer from the Thrasher campaign that had a long list of prominent State GOP members that are endorsing Senator Thrasher, including my favorite FL GOP county Chairman, Sid "I tried to tell you that light rail is a money pit but you wouldn't listen" Dinerstein. At the end of this impressive list of Republicans is Senator Thrasher's website http://www.gophonor.com./

I went to the site and watched it. Senator Thrasher has an impressive resume. Honors in Battle and accomplishments in politics and law. (However, no mention of his years as a lobbyist and his donation to the Alex Sink's CFO campaign, which in fairness to the Senator was refunded to him when she instead decided to run for Governor.) At the end of the video scrolls a very dim roll call called "These Are Florida's Unsung Heroes". It lasts almost two minutes (total time of the video is 5 minutes). I tried to read it, but for some strange reason, the lettering of the names of these "heroes" were lettered in dark grey on a pitch black background.

The names were almost unreadable. The choice of color palette by Sen. Thrasher confused me; It was as if he wanted to keep these "Unsung Heroes" well...unsung. (Some constructive criticism Senator. If you want to really recognize and pay homage to " Florida's Unsung Heroes", I suggest you use WHITE LETTERS on an black background!)

However, your intrepid blogger persevered and finally figured out it was a list of: All GOP county chairmen; All state committeemen and women; All elected Republican members of the Florida Legislature; All state wide elected Republicans; All Republican members of Congress and a few others.

Good Lord, This Is Getting Out of Hand...

I got a feeling that this is going to lead directly to the Whitehouse and what we will find is political black bag organiztion "a la Nixon"...

Remember folks, vote out the Democrats in 2010 and Republicans remember: this will probably be your last chance to prove you are more interested in the welfare of our Republic than just staying in power...

Two Sites that Deserve Floridians Attention

Here are two good sites recommended to me by two different people. The first site was recommended to me by my State Senator, Don Gaetz. the site is http://www.transparencyflorida.gov/. Senator Gaetz sent me the link and I'll quote from his Email:
"While Florida may have government in the sunshine, we still have spending in the shade. Too few of us attend budget meetings and fewer still dig through the thick budget books published by state and local government. Starting today, it will be much easier for you, and 18 million other Floridians, to look over the shoulder of state agencies and get an in-depth look at how they spend your tax dollars. TransparencyFlorida.gov puts Florida’s checkbook on line. "
FYI: The site is a work in progress, and different areas of Florida's state government will gradually phased in. Go to the site to check it out and for more details.

The other site was recommended to me by Mr. Henry Kelley, Vice Chairman of the Fort Walton Beach Tea party and lead dog of their Legislative Team. The site is a site to track the mammoth Stimulus bill (aka "Porkulus") passed early this year by Congress. It is located at http://stimuluswatch.org/2.0/.

Mr. Kelly empathized that this is NOT a site to register your opinion on whether the stimulus was a waste of money...that train for much of the funds has left the station. Rather it is a site for you to:
a) See how many jobs per project were created with YOUR tax dollars and
b) You vote up or down if the project is worth it (for example the interchange near the NW Florida Airport that is being built to relieve traffic congestion in the area)

Go here:  http://fwbteaparty.wordpress.com/2010/01/12/stimulus-watch-website/ to get the gist of the mission of this site and to understand what its goals are. Henry does a much better job than I explaining it.

Now it's time to watch to see if them Saints can pull it off and punch their ticket to the Superbowl!

I've got some opinions about the race for RPOF Chairman, but I'm going to let them "percolate" for a few more days before I voice them. 20 February is still a few weeks away.

Darn, The Vikings just scored....

Iran is on Fire and No One in the Administration OR MSM is Paying Attention

The Obama Administrations complete ineptitude in foreign affairs, combined with the his imploding domestic policy and situation results in making the United States an absolute non-player or threat to the current "Islamic Fascist Thugocracy" in power. The thugs are in full crackdown mode and don't expect the US, Europe or the UN to really do anything about it.  Right now only Foxnews has it on their "Front Page"...For the rest of the MSM, it is a non-event...

My post of August on this subject of last year is coming true. Maybe in 2012 we elect a new president who is willing to side with the people "yearning to be free"...

I still say my "9mm Solution" proposed in the above link will work!

Wonder Why People Don't Trust The United Nations?

Exhibit A: "Aid piling up at UN's 'cold beer' compound as red tape keeps aid from desperate Haitians - while UN staff have wi-fi and a bar"

And some feel it is no big deal when we cede sovereignty or grant immunity to US laws while on US Soil to UN affiliated agencies.

Global Warming Theory is melting down....

Revealed: Himalayan Glacier melting was just a scam to influence/get money from Governments.  Read about it here.

Republicans: The Time for Action on Healthcare is NOW

Scott Brown's election to the Senate has left the Democrats in disarray.  Now is the time for Conservatives and Republicans in Congress to act.

First, here are multiple posts that I have made in the past about Republican Healthcare Alternatives to the Democrats:

Here it the First Post

Here is the Second Post

Here is the Third

What does all this information have in common. A total lack of publicity and effort to sell the ideas by the National Republican Party. The advertisement of Republican alternatives to the Democratic healthcare plan has been, at best, anemic. With the election of Scott Brown as Senator and the apparent "No Mas" coming from Democrats as varied as Barney Frank and Jim Webb, Republicans have been granted a miracle reprieve and a brand new chance to take charge of Healthcare reform.

Now is not the time for politics as usual. Republicans should quickly come out with a plan centered around major tort reform and free market solutions for healthcare and take the offense. It is now obvious that the Democrats cannot rationally defend their plan and win. Why? Because they are trying to explain the unexplainable and defend the indefensible.

Now is the time for the Republicans on the Hill to craft a sensible, concise and EASILY EXPLAINED bill of reform that promotes tort reform, competition and cuts costs. They should also get their combined staffs made up with the experts on Healthcare and put together a "Message to Americans" that explains clearly and plainly, what the Republican healthcare plan entails and how it will reduce healthcare costs. It should be no more than TEN (10!) pages (or less!) long. It should be written with respect for the average person and clearly and concisely spell out how the Republican plan would work and how it will, in the long term, improve the American Healthcare system for all current Americans and their descendents. Along with the 10 page letter, there should also be a PowerPoint Presentation that our elected Representatives can use when they hold Townhalls to talk with their constituents.

The Republican ideas and proposals are already on paper. The experts and staff are on hand. (They WORK for you Congressmen/Senators!) Appoint someone in charge, throw them in a room and tell them to come up with a paper in a week for your review. "Murder" board it (aka "critique it") make the changes you want and then unleash it with a major PR push. (When I was an Intel officer we did major research projects like this overnight. All you needed was a guy-in-charge, subject matter experts, computers and a lot of coffee)

Folks, I'm sending this to my Congressman and other congressional leaders. But I am just one voice. Tell your fellow Republicans and Conservative Independents to contact their Republican Representatives and Senators and tell them you want action, NOW

We won last night. Don't let it go to waste. Grab the initiative, Republicans. Save our future.

On Scott Brown's win in Massachusetts

Make no mistake on this...he is going to Washington to a) Stop Obamacare and b) restart the healthcare reform debate. He is socially liberal and while he is a hawk on the war and treatment of terrorists, he WANTS to work on healthcare reform.

That's why the Conservative Republicans need to get a coherent plan on paper and be ahead of the PR curve. The sooner we come back to the negotiation table with a good, free market solutions on healthcare, the more the final bill that eventually takes shape will reflect our CONSERVATIVE, fiscally responsible ideas.

I ask again our Congressman, Jeff Miller, to get the House Conservatives together and put together a simple point paper outlining how Conservatives want to will fix our healthcare system.  We need concise written proposals layed out so the average American can understand how the goals and ideas of Republicans are the best way to fix a system that needs some basic reform.

Now is the time to start winning the hearts and minds of Americans.  But we need a roadmap....It's not hard, it isn't rocket science. The ideas are out there, from tort reform, to portability, to allowing competition across state lines.  Get it on paper and get it to the grassroots.  Light a fire under your collective staffs and get the proposal out to the people.....NOW.

If I were Catholic, I Guess I Would Have to Say A Few "Hail Marys" for Picking on the Defenseless

I just couldn't resist one more comment on Pat Rice's Blog post on Limbaugh and Haiti...he is sort of getting hammered by by quite a few posters.  Talk about not knowing your audience:

Quote:

Mr. Rice:

Just curious: Is the term and the habit of calling a pundit "Blowhard" one of those professional Journalistic/Ethics "Thingies" one is taught in Journalism School?

For example: Is there a class taught at Columbia School of Journalism called "Childish Insults Professional Journalists Use While Insisting They are Trained To Remain Neutral When Reporting the News Despite Being Admittedly Leftwing In One's Own Political Inclinations?" 101?

If so, maybe you supplement your income at the local community college teaching it to the Students who find the scientific disciplines just too darn hard...

Who You Calling "Congressional Elites"?

NY Times Quotes U.S. Senator Evan Bayh III, Son of three Term U.S. Senator Birch Bayh:
Senator Evan Bayh, Democrat of Indiana, said the atmosphere was a serious threat to Democrats. “I do think there’s a chance that Congressional elites mistook their mandate,” Mr. Bayh said. “I don’t think the American people last year voted for higher taxes, higher deficits and a more intrusive government. But there’s a perception that that is what they are getting.”
Senator Bayh: If you look up the term "Congressional elites", you will find a picture of yourself...so you know Congressional elites mistook their mandate.

And it isn't a perception the that we are getting "higher taxes, higher deficits and a more intrusive government".....It is a STONE COLD FACT WE ARE!

It is such condescending attitudes by Senator Bayh that is fueling the insurgent campaign of Scott Brown in, of all places, Massachusetts!

Note to Republicans: If Brown wins on Tuesday: don't get cocky. Part of Brown's strength is coming from independents who are the largest registered segment in Massachusetts (50%!) and those independents are fueled, in a great part, by the Tea Party movement and the issues they are upset over are financial: Taxes, Jobs and Healthcare. Social issues are not the driving force up there. For you Republicans who demand their candidates be "pure"...Scott Brown is a social libertarian.  There is a lesson here. In 2010, 2012 and probably for a few more election cycles, "It's The Economy Stupid!"

Note to Tea Parties: If you stay focused on the economy and taxes, you can become "King Makers".  If you stray outside those areas, you possibly forfeit your chances to make a difference in 2010 and 2012.

My Two Cents....

Another Misstep By our Local Rag's "Director of Regional Content for Florida Freedom Newspapers"

Pat Rice tries to equate Cherry picked comments from Rush Limbaugh and some really off the wall comments from Pat Robertson.

My response:

Here are Mr. Limbaugh's comments on the issue
Mr. Rice

Before you condemn Mr. Limbaugh's "Comments", you need to put them in context of the issue he was discussing. He claims that he was telling people it is more efficient to donate to private vice Gov't relief efforts.

Generally, that is a very true statement. However, as retired Navy, I would argue with Mr. Limbaugh there are some things that only the US Gov't can do..In this case bringing security and order and by the rapid deployment of security forces and making quick repair of needed infrastructure to support civilian relief efforts.

Mr. Rice, I suggest you listen to all of Mr. Limbaugh's comments in context and also recognize when he is in "satire" mode. He has three hours of airtime to fill and it very easy (and essentially a cheap shot) to cherry pick the comments. Once again, some research on your part might have changed your mind WRT to what Limbaugh said (However, I doubt it..you made your mind up on the man long ago).

When history is written, it will be said that he had a much bigger and important impact on American Political Discourse than practically any other political pundit. He was on the bleeding edge of breaking the monopoly of information held by the MSM and their entrenched left wing bias (Which you admitted to in a previous post..so much for journalism school!)

I don't always agree with Limbaugh, but I respect him for what he has done.

As for the Pat Robertson, He makes Elmer Gantry look like Pope John Paul II in comparison. Obviously he is under the spell of some evil Haitian Voodoo spell. (I'm being Sarcastic Pat.....Pat Robertson is a certified idiot)

Cheers

A view from England on the US Economy

And It Ain't Pretty........

Charlie Crist is Trying to Distance Himself From Obama

Charlie Crist was one of a handful of "Moderate" republican governors that signed a thank you letter to Obama.

Small take from the article:
Mr. Crist even campaigned last week with Mr. Obama in Florida for the recovery package.

“Whether it’s teachers or people on road crews helping our infrastructure, those in the health care arena as it might relate to Medicaid, all of these areas are important, all of them can produce jobs,” Mr. Crist said, adding, “Regardless of what your party is, Republican or Democrat, it really doesn’t matter. We have a duty and an obligation to the people who elected us, no matter what our position happens to be, to work together to get through this thing.”
And he is apparently Chris Mathews best friend:

So please don't take any campaign rhetoric from the Crist camp too seriously. He is sorta like John Kerry: He was "FOR" Obama before he was "AGAINST" him...

Advice to Charlie Crist: Leave the flip floping to the Professional Flip Floppers...Amateurs like you in the Era of the Internet and YouTube just give Flip Flopping a Bad name.

And For you people wondering where to contact the Professional Flip Floppers of the World:  HQ is the Clinton Library in Little Rock, Arkansas. Try there first...

Pat Rice Opens Mouth and sticks foot into it, again

Go to NW Florida Daily News and go to Pat Rice's Blog Post on Harry Reid and his use of the Word Negro..

Here is my answer:

Quote:

It is probably true that when it comes to inapproptiate comments on issues of race, the media holds Republicans and Democrats to different standards.
Unquote

By your own words you damn your own profession. This is why you cannot trust the mainstream media. It all goes through a leftwing political prism. So much for ethics in journalism and the ability to distance their political views from the facts. And it goes much further than race.

As for me, I want Harry Reid to stay as majority leader... I want Republicans to win in 2010 and his being the majority leader only helps us.

Truth in reporting: I cleaned up a few typos I made in the original post.

This is Why Military Tribunals Were The Way to Go

Obama rank amateurism strikes again. A Terrorist will probably walk free and be able to join his terrorist comrades and continue Jihad against the United States.

Remember, 2010 folks, 2010. Vote the Dems out ASAP.

What Now for the Republican Party Of Florida?

First of all, I must say Jim Greer, after months of fighting the inevitable, when confronted with the hard reality of grassroots wanting him gone, had the good sense to do it before the 9 January meeting. Unlike a lot of people who say he left with grace, I am not one of them. I found his resignation letter to be petty in blaming a small, disgruntled slice of the party to be responsible for his fall. My only comeback, if we were so small a section of the party, why couldn't you put us in our place. Either you were incompetent or we were not such a small contingent of the party. I leave it to you, dear reader, to render your own judgment on the matter of Jim Greer.

Now I say, the internecine warfare in the RPOF is OVER. Senator John Thrasher is our party Chairman till after the 2010 election and I support him. From all accounts that I can gather from the press, he will be much more neutral with regards to primary races and enjoys an excellent reputation for honesty. The deed is done Republicans of Florida and it now time to concentrate on who we choose to be our candidates in August and above all, we start hammering Democrats regardless of who we support in the primary! I hereby make this vow: The Republican who wins his/her primary in the great State of Florida, I WILL SUPPORT WHOLEHEARTEDLY, with as much money as my wife will let me donate (yeah, yeah, I can hear the jeers from my fellow males but 9 out of 10 of you are in the same boat as I am...hypocrites) and as much blogging I can do.

The BIG QUESTION IS: So where do we go from here?

I'll let the party pros worry about campaign swings and stump speeches. Where I want to concentrate on is the online presence of the RPOF. In two words I can sum it up: IT SUCKS. Go to the two premier sites: http://www.rpof.org/ (RPORG) and http://www.drivethediscussion.com/ (DTD). The content is dated, the information is as bland as cardboard and I totally don't get a thrill up my leg when reading it. On DTD I've been looking at the same picture of Senator LeMieux for a goddamn month and on RPORG, all I get is lukewarm "Rah-Rah" stuff on the front page. Drill further into that site and you will find that its sections are updated haphazardly, if at all.

This is totally unacceptable. My Background is in intelligence. You had fresh Intel for the boss everyday or you got your ass fired. The World is not static and nor should our web sites be. So I'm asking Senator Thrasher and My Senator, Don Gaetz (who I still support despite his rail vote...I'm not a 100% "agree with me guy", but I am a "fight like hell till the vote is taken" guy) to order a review of these two sites with an eye towards making them "The Premier Intelligence and Campaign center for the State of Florida for all issues Local and National". Be a Hero for the Republican Party on this Senator Gaetz, lead the charge on this and help Senator Thrasher make the changes ASAP. (And I mean ASAP!!!!)

We need to turn these two "poodle sites" into "Raging Wild Bull Elephant sites that have razor sharp tusks". We need to, on a daily basis, spill Democrat blood on the floor and use their still living guts to grease the keyboards of the editors and managers of these sites. We need to have active links to the cutting edge Republican and Conservative sites out there (RedState, HotAir, American Thinker, Pajamas Media, Lucianne, etc) and showcase these sites work. We need to start pointing out how the Democrats on a national level are running our country into the ground. And yes, tell folks it's time to HIT THE PANIC BUTTON this November 2, 2010 and vote Republican.

We need to use these sites to raise the issues that need be addressed and challenge our candidates to staff then submit serious, thoughtful papers that tackle these issues. Issues like "Why have we abandoned Nuclear power and how do we get back on track?"; Issues like "Why are we failing our children when it comes to teaching them hard science?" ; Issues like "Here is how we can reduce the cost of healthcare WITHOUT creating a government bureaucracy that will swallow trillions of Dollars?"

I hereby Challenge My Congressman, Jeff Miller, to get with his fellow conservatives and put together a coherent, easy to understand point paper that clearly outlines what the Republicans would do if they win the House in 2010 to reverse/improve any Healthcare legislation signed into law by Obama this year - I know he has plans and innovative ideas, because I heard him speak directly to a crowd of 300 about them. Let's use our websites to communicate those ideas to 300 million! I give them two (2) weeks to put it together. I used to put together papers like that for the Admiral and his staff in a day. With two weeks and all the combined staffs of Miller and his fellow conservative Republicans have, I expect a masterpiece of logic and clarity with plenty of Democrat blood on the floor. We put it online on the Florida RPOF Sites and Get Michael Steele to put it on the anemic RNC national site. Then we spread the word to all the Conservative and Republican websites out there to carry it. We used to be the party of Ideas. Let's see some Ideas come from our Congressmen to show the country we already have people there who KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WILL BE IN CHARGE IF WE KICK THE DEMOCRATS OUT IN NOVEMBER! THAT IS IMPORTANT: NO MORE ROOKIES LIKE OBAMA AND HIS ILK!

Let's give web space to all legally on-the-ballot Florida Republicans to write what their plans are and make them defend them by allowing registered users comment on them. Break the site pages down by Federal Congressional District, State house and Senate District. Let our Senate contenders debate online, point paper, by point paper.

Above all, every day the Front pages of both these sites should reflect new content and be updated regularly during day. It should be slam, bang hard hitting exposes of the Democrats in DC, nationwide and in Florida The days of all politics being local ARE OVER! Television, 24 hour news cycle and the Internet killed that concept YEARS AGO. So don't fight it, EMBRACE IT. Let's make the our site the envy of every state Republican Party and lets show Michael Steele HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE (The RNC national site is as big a joke as ours, if not bigger..all it does is ask for money) .

In Summary: Our goals should be:
a) Make these sites a must visit every day for all active Republicans in Florida.
b) Make these sites a must visit multiple times a day for every Florida journalist.
c) Make these sites a must visit for Republicans across the land.
d) Make these sites the Democrats WORST NIGHTMARE.

We have the money and the staff to make this happen. Put an aggressive, hard core Partisan Republican in charge of both sites and put techno geeks and hard charging professional staffers at his disposal; Take some of my ideas, run and expand on them; create a "Tiger Team" of young gung-ho Republican Party Staffers in charge of the Front pages and give them one order: MAKE THE DEMOCRATS PAY FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE. SHOW THE PEOPLE THE HYPOCRISY OF OBAMA, PELOSI AND REID. (And while you are at it: Make people know there ain't no such thing as a "Blue Dog Democrat", they are all "Pelosi" Democrats!!)

One Blogpost or Email is not going to make this happen. The only way to make this happen is for the County Republican Executive Committees and Republican Grassroots MAKE IT HAPPEN, DEMAND IT. Email all the State Senators I have CC'd on this Email (Their Email is In the Public Domain- This is their Contact Email I got off the RPOF site) Email Your State House Rep with this message (They Make It more Difficult go here to access their "Format" system of Contact:
http://www.myfloridahouse.gov/Sections/Representatives/representatives.aspx.
And above all, pass this Email on to your Fellow REC members and fellow Republicans and have them contact their State party/Senators and Representatives.  Mediocre Performance from our Online sites must be a thing of the past.

We Republicans are light years behind the Democrats as far as getting our official message out via the web. Let us make the Republican Party Of Florida the Gold Standard for Internet and Web based information/campaign efforts for all state Republican parties and for that sorry excuse of a national web site, http://www.gop.com/

Finally: Grant me "Carte Blanche" blogging rights on both sites, because a) I hate Democrats and b) I not just your run-of-the-mill A**hole; I'm a NAVY TRAINED A**HOLE..they don't get any meaner than that.

YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP

Reid apologizes for 'Negro' remark

According to the new book "Game Change," Reid "was wowed by Obama's oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama -- a 'light-skinned' African American 'with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,' as he said privately.
Did he also say he is clean?

Trent Lott had to step down for his Strom Thurmond remarks…Will Harry Reid Step down?

This is "Inside The Beltway" Journalism at its most self-absorbed Worst

Dana Milbank should be handcuffed to a chair and be forced to meet with every relative of every person who died on 9/11 or died in the skies over Lockerbie in Pan Am Flight 103.

Here is the link to his opinion piece

Money Quote his concept of winning the war against Al-Qaeda:
Keeping al-Qaeda to this level of "nuisance" terrorism should be the goal. Attacks by small, uncoordinated cells are harder to prevent, but they aren't as devastating. In the war on terrorism, limiting the enemy to his Frighty Whities is about the best we can hope for.
This is what the left and the Washington Beltway Crowd think of this war. We on the right see it a clash of civilizations. Our brave men and women are fighting to keep this medieval view of life (that is already permeating the cultures of Europe) from spreading to ours.

Dana Milbank thinks as long as we can keep describing them as "Fruit of the Loom" clowns, we will have won, or at least kept the terror on a manageable level.

When these fanatics finally score another plane hit job (and make no mistake THEY WILL), I suggest we send Dana Milban to console all the stunned and grieving family members by telling them "Fruit of the Loom" terrorist jokes.

The Washington Post should be ashamed to have allowed this man to print this opinion piece. In WWII, such bastards as Dana Milbank would have been fired.

Here is the Washington Post ombudsman's Email address: ombudsman@washpost.com

Pass this along to everyone you know. Lets melt the Washingtom Ombudsman Email line.

If true..this is scary stuff.

Don't think for a second they don't learn from mistakes.  Fake ID's, Shaving and dying of hair. Dressing in a nice suit with brief case or laptop.

We are still in a long war and we have a president who is over his head in every aspect of what it takes to be President.

I feel like Major Clipton, surveying the blown up remnants of the Bridge, with the troop transport full of Japanese soldiers smashed into the river bed and in the distance seeing the dead bodies of Commander Shears and Colonel Nicholson.

Bob Herbert Notes that States Like California and New York or Going broke. His answer, More Federal Spending!  Yep, just crank up the old printing press and bail them out.

Bob: We, The United States Of America have the same problem as California and New York... The only real difference is we can print money, they can't.

Short Take on Congressman Miller's Townhall

I'll address more about this event when I have time this weekend but a few things stood out in my mind.

Number One: If you are going to accuse A Congressman of hypocrisy on his voting record....You should know how that Congressman voted. One guy made an ass of himself.

Number Two: When the Townhall meeting is peaceful and the congressman is getting applause, then it can be safely said he is preaching to the choir. I don't expect Congressman Miller to have much trouble with any Tea Party members. He was warmly received by all. Like I said earlier, I may not agree with Jeff Miller on all things, but he voted against TARP, he voted against the Stimulus and he voted against the last budget and probably will do so against the next. That's pretty much what I want in a congressman.

Number Three: We Republicans have done a HORRIBLE job of getting our own plans for healthcare out there. We have let the media portray us as the "Party of No". That isn't fair. Republicans have put bills out there for consideration, and they addressed many of the issues that drive up healthcare costs. (Here is link to an early effort that was co-sponsored by Rep. Miller) Because we Republicans are in the minority, these bills die an early death, but that is not an excuse to let the Democrats have monopoly on the press. We must be more aggressive on this issue and much more pro-active selling it.

More on this and other issues later this weekend.

Take some time off from Politics and say prayer for our Citrus Growers here in Florida

My Son is hoping to see snow, and while that may be cool, take a bit of time and say a prayer to the God of your choice and hope our farmers make through this cold snap ok.

Jim Greer Resigns...As of 20 February

Here is the key passage of his resignation letter:
However, despite the great progress our Party has seen over the last three years, a small but vocal group within our Party has made it a point to destroy this progress and negatively impact our opportunity for victory in 2010. There has been, as you may be aware, an effort by this group to seek my removal for reasons that hold no justification. The facts and accuracy relating to this issue have become lost and irrelevant to these disruptive efforts and despite my own efforts, in addition to the efforts of others, to correct the record with the facts and truthfulness, these divisive individuals and their efforts continue without any concern for our Party’s future.
I decided to do more as a Republican (other than voting and giving money) when it became evident that our current GOP leadership was lacking the intestinal fortitude to stand up to the Democrats and Obama's radical agenda.  Charlie Crist's  and Jim Greer's embracement of Obama's economic plan, coupled with the fact that Florida, despite being an overwhelmingly Republican State, went blue for Obama made me get off my duff and start doing something to save my son's future.

Chairman Greer lashes out at those Republicans who he claims "seek my removal for reasons that hold no justification".  I disagree. I wanted Jim Greer to resign because we need stronger and yes, more open and honest leadership of our party.  Mr. Greer could have agreed to a fair, open third party audit of RPOF funds months ago, but he refused.  Instead, we were treated to a silly credit card cutting press conference.  Mr. Greer: Cutting up credit cards is for people whose spending has gotten out of control.  Your own actions pointed to your guilt.

There is no joy here. However there is satisfaction of seeing that our party has started to right its ship.  Now is the time for Republican and Republican candidates to start thinking of ideas based on our core values. We put our trust in individual liberty, and we have an unwavering belief in American ingenuity and science.

There are those on the other side that want us to blend in with the world, to shuffle off and join the rest of humanities teeming masses. That's not the American way. We are greatest and best hope for all the worlds citizens. To deny ourselves our duty to boldly blaze trails is to deny the rest of mankind  the chance to truly better themselves.

Hail to The Redskins!! ZORN IS FIRED...

The Guy at ESPN online who had to write Zorn's "Head Coach" obituary had this to say:
He (Zorn) was a cerebral guy who had other interests outside football, such as wood carving and mountain biking. (emphasis mine)
Yep, Nothing says genius like whittling on a bit of hickory....

Now all we need to do is trade Jason Campbell..

Obama and the War on Terror

When the official history of the Obama administration is written, I suspect that his time spent on holiday for the 2009/10 holiday season will be identified as the period when the American Mainstream Media (MSM) finally realized that they could no longer cover for Obama and his administration's spectacular shortcomings.

It will also be noted that this was the period where the U.S. Intelligence system, an incredibly Byzantine amalgam of hardware (lethal and nonlethal) , software , organizations and people, decided that it was in their own best interests to start a overt and covert campaign to denigrate Obama and his Chicago Thugocracy. If you don't think that is possible, I suggest you ask George W. Bush for his opinion on this subject.

From what I can gather, it was the elite, Ivy League, good old boy's club that inhabits the Intelligence bureaucracy that went after Bush, simply because they are, like their stooges in the MSM, very liberal and could not abide the black and white world of good vs. evil that G.W often painted the world.

Both the CIA and State Department are in the control of Ivy League, east coast elites, who just don't think they are better and smarter than everyone, but KNOW they are better and smarter than everyone. Their hated of Bush (and old fashioned American values like Patriotism) was instinctive and necessary in order to remain members of good standing with their Beltway Peers. But one thing Bush never did was blame intelligence professionals or whine about his fate. (Fault the Man all you want... and there are many faults to exploit... but he was stoic in the face of contemptuous, surreptitious and anonymous assault from the Leftwing Intelligence and State Department Elite)

Obama, on the other hand, was supposed to be their guy, embracing their own allegedly sophisticated view of the world which is of muted shades of gray. That is, until they, like all organizations, were shown not to be perfect. Believe me, while the CIA (Ivy League/Elite dominated!) hated Bush because they hated his worldview, they will now go after Obama for a much more base reason, he threatens their jobs and government pensions.

Let me be clear. There was no way for Obama to have really stopped the "Panty-bomber".  He is the president, the big picture guy. It is not his job to put the Intel pieces together nor is his job to stop "panty-bombers". That job belongs to guys a lot further down the Totem pole.

What is Mr. Obama's job is to make sure that the attitude and the overall morale / posture of both overt (military) and Covert (CIA, etc) are set aggressively enough to make so people down the Totem pole are confident enough to take action without having to face charges and accusations later.

It is also Mr. Obama's job to have the backs of such people that reside on the "Tip of the Spear". So let's sit back and review Mr. Obama's actions to date:

1) Obama is surging troops to Afghanistan, but instead of getting better control of the situation, things have gotten dramatically worse. Why? Three Words: Rules of Engagement. Go search on "Afghanistan, ROE, Obama". What you will find after a little research is that the ROE for our troops have been dramatically curtailed by this administration and guess what, the enemy knows this (they get the Internet and TV just like we do) . The end result is a toxic brew of US Forces too afraid to act with an enemy knowing where and how far he can push the envelope. We have an administration that is more concerned with not accidentally killing innocents vice protecting our own from harm. Our people are now more afraid of criminal (!!!) prosecution if things go south vice letting the bad guys go free! Imagine these rules being in effect for the Allies in WWII. It is laughable.

2) Obama says his Intel team is a vast improvement on Bush's team. I'm sorry, but political correctness reigns supreme with these people. No profiling, but reaching out to terrorists in hopes of converting to our side is "ok"; A more "understanding" approach to the plight of the Muslim is the unwritten law. The result is the CIA is just as hamstrung as our military by this rush "not to judge", and were probably just as aware that Obama and his team would throw them out to the wolves when/if  they made one mistake, or be responsible for an embarrassment that occurred on their watch. Obama confirmed their fears this week with his incredible "Point the finger to anybody but Me!" routine.

3) The international community has woken up to the fact that Obama is NOT a serious man. All Hat and No Cattle. For all of former President Bush's faults, deep inside he
a) Believed in America and
b) Could Wake up at 2:00 AM; Unhesitatingly order the Death of fellow Human Beings, even if meant fellow Americans might be killed while his orders are carried out; Then go back to sleep.

A wartime commander must be willing to inflict as well as absorb casualties. This trait is essential to any wartime president. Lincoln had it, FDR (deep down, a cold-hearted bastard) had it in spades and guess what: George Bush had it. It is clear Obama lacks this one essential trait of a wartime president and we will all suffer because of this. Obama is a political bully at heart and bullies only attack easy targets. Now, the world is becoming aware of Obama's lack of steel in his spine (except for Russia's Putin, who has known it even before Obama was elected.)

It is going to be a dangerous three years till January 20th 2013.

The RPOF's "Drive the Discussion" Site: Another waste of RPOF Funds

Another reason to fire Jim Greer.  What could have become a magnificent tool for Republicans to coalesce around and share/develop new ideas, has become a complete waste of Time and Effort.

Here is the last "Drive the Discussion" Blog Post: Dated 14 December !!!!!!!!

If you are attending the Special Meeting next Saturday: Ask Jim Greer about why such a poor RPOF effort on this site and how much money did we spend to stand it up...

Time for the RPOF to stand up to Charlie Crist and Jim Greer

This will probably be my last extended post on "L'Affaire Jim Greer" before the Special Session of Florida Republican State Committee Persons and County Chairmen scheduled for next Saturday, 9 January in Orlando.

In Truth, there are only two possible outcomes of this meeting:
            1) The Resignation of Jim Greer of the Chairmanship of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF)
            2) Continued internecine warfare in the RPOF.

If the RPOF members Saturday think that Jim Greer can remain Chairman of the RPOF and everyone can just sing a couple refrains of "Kumbaya" at the end of the day and all will be well, I've got news for them: That scenario is delusional.

Let me put this in as blunt of terms as possible: Jim Greer has taken the Chairmanship of RPOF and corrupted it to the point that he is endangering the very existence of the Republican Party in Florida. There are many Republicans that will not sit idly by and let that happen.

Republicans: Do not fool yourselves. Yes, the American populace is finally waking up to the fact that Obama and the Democrats in DC are literally bankrupting the country and destroying our reputation overseas. However, don't believe that the disenchanted voter will then come back and support a Republican Party that is the essentially the same party that lost the trust of the people in 2006.

If we Republicans do come back to power in 2010 or 2012, then we will HAVE ONE CHANCE to get things right. If we continue to be the party of the likes of Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Lindsay Graham and yes CHARLIE CRIST, then we will REALLY see a political earthquake of the first magnitude. The Tea Party Movement (Which ain't going away folks) and the Fiscal Policy Hawks WILL COMPLETELY ABANDON THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. The Republican party was born due to crisis (Out of the anti-slave movement in 1854. Six years later Lincoln was elected.) and if we fail to come through and act on true conservative principles, it will die in a crisis.

Jim Greer is the poster boy for everything that went wrong with our party and caused Republicans to lose the trust of the great majority of Americans. From his end around the party faithful with his attempt to implement RPOF Rule 11 on behalf of his Political Masters, Gov. Crist and John Cornyn of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) ; to the use of party funds to smear Marco Rubio via bogus web and twitter accounts and finally, his adamant refusal to for a fair and open audit of party funds (which is grounds for dismissal alone), Jim Greer has proven not to be a man of honor. He is nothing more than a vain, strutting bully of a man who thinks crudely worded threats can intimidate honest citizens into silence.

His word cannot be trusted. I can think of no more damning thing to say about a man's integrity. I can think of no argument that can persuade me to accept such a man as our State Party Chairman.

But as I sit here and write this "denouement" of Jim Greer, let us not lose site of the true villain in all of this. It is our Governor, Charlie Crist, who has allowed this to happen on his watch.

Has there ever been a more cynical, grasping, preening and self absorbed Governor of any State? With his immaculately coiffed hair and his year round tan, there has not been one moment since Charlie Crist was elected governor that he has not been plotting to get elected to another, higher office.

He had not been in Governor's mansion for a half a term, than he began his lobbying to be John McCain's running mate. It was if the governorship merely existed to fulfill Governor Crist's ambition and bringing any leadership or work on behalf of Florida was a nuisance that got in the way of his personal ambition. His efforts were so brazen to ingratiate to the McCain campaign, that some were convinced that he got married just in order to get that "Vice President-Candidate Must Be Married" box checked.

After Gov. Crist failed in getting named McCain's running mate, he and Greer managed to lose Florida to Obama. Then, in a political move as shortsighted as it was stupid, when Barak Obama and the Democrats proposed and passed the infamous "Porkulus bill" of 2009, Charlie Crist was one of the few Republicans to openly embrace it and give the Democrats some cover of "bipartisanship".

When the Senate Seat of Mel Martinez became open, Charlie was first to throw his hat in the ring (no Second term for Ole' Charlie: Too good a shot at the Senate to pass up, citizens of Florida be damned!). Crist then he sent out his bully boy enforcer, Jim Greer, to work his back room deals to stifle a free and open primary for Republicans. Unfortunately, Crist and Greer found in the forms of Senator John Cornyn and RNC Chairman Michael Steele, men eager and willing to sell out "electability" over substance.

That's when the party grassroots started to revolt. Now Crist's plan lays in tatters. The Stimulus Bill is an albatross around his neck. Rank and file are upset with the RNC and NRSC for overstepping its bounds. Then, all the stories of Jim Greer excess spending and use of the RPOF funds as a personal slush fund have come to light.

Republicans can't fire Charlie Crist. But WE REPUBLICANS CAN FIRE JIM GREER. It will that first, necessary step towards saving our political soul.

The hard cold truth here is that opposing Jim Greer is a matter of principle. And either we Republicans start standing strong on our principles or we WILL suffer the same fate of the conservative 'Whig" party Republicans killed off in the 1850's: Oblivion.

Obama, on the Saturday after New Years...Still blames Bush

Unbelievable: Still holds on the "poor society that produces these men" lie (the Nigerian in this case was from a wealthy family); Says Iraq was wrong war and blames Bush... But admits al-Qaeda was involved.

Amateurs in the White House folks, rank amateurs

Oh, It Must be True: The NY Times says so

This story will have the Obama Administration sweating.  The NY Times finally comes around and reports the "Obvious".

Folks: ANYONE who tells you we have turned a corner is wrong: We have merely hit a "Speed Bump" of another Wall Street Bubble that is about to pop...
